Strong Brotherhood: Voted by all other
fraternities and sororities at Illinois State University to have the best
brotherhood on campus.
No hazing: We have a zero tolerance policy against hazing.
We simply don’t allow it!
Top Recognition Locally: Our chapter won the two top
awards given to fraternities by the university. One of which was the President’s
Award for chapter operations.
Top Recognition Nationally: For the past two years we have
received True Merit distinction, an honor bestowed upon only about 25 of our 145
chapters nationally.
Social: In addition to having numerous exchanges with
sororities, barndance, semi formal and formal we co-sponsor May Day, the biggest
party on ISU’s campus.
Academics: Our chapter has achieved over a 3.0 GPA for the
past two years. ATO’s learn how to balance their busy schedule and be successful
academically as well as socially. We like to say, “we work hard, we play hard.”
Scholarship: You may have received the application this
summer for our annual True Merit Scholarship to be awarded in a few weeks. Also
starting in the Spring of 2005 we will have $10,000 in Endowment Scholarship
money available for members of the chapter.
Great Reputation: Alpha Tau Omega has a strong reputation
on campus and in the Bloomington Normal community. Alpha Tau Omega continues to
be a positive asset to the community. I urge you to ask around campus about
Alpha Tau Omega and I am sure you will receive positive feedback.
Low Cost: Every fraternity chapter has to pay a fee to be
a member (called dues) and Alpha Tau Omega is among the lowest on campus for
membership dues.
